☀️Sunbathing - Step-by-step☀️ For this illustration, I was lucky enough to work with CLIP STUDIO PAINT @clipstudioofficial, who gave me total freedom to design the artwork (thank you for your trust!). So, of course, I drew a dragon for a change! I started with a sketch on paper, which I re-worked and corrected on the software before plunging headlong into the painting. From the pencil for the sketch to the ‘oil painting’ brush, I really had the feeling of working in the traditional way, without having to add any brushes other than those included in the base package. Even if the interface is a bit scary at first, because of the many options, the software picks up very quickly and is really intuitive! Swipe to see the different steps! ☀️Sunbathing☀️ I had the opportunity to work with CLIP STUDIO PAINT @clipstudioofficial after they contacted me a while back to try out their application. In another life, I had already worked on previous versions of the software, and I have to say that they have done one heck of an upgrade! You know me, I like to experiment a lot. So trying to get a “painted” rendering while testing out all the new features seemed like THE thing to do. And I'm definitely going to try again, as there are still a lot of features I haven't tried. But for this one, I mainly used the basic oil paint brush, which is extremely pleasant to use. The dynamics of the brush and the organic rendering really blew me away, and I was able to mix the colours as if I were working on paper! Did I nail it?
